A Lesson in Parenting

Well, not really. We babysat a lamb. A little lamb, only about a week old. It's a long story, but basically this little Cal Poly lamb was one of a few in a litter so the mother rejected it (too many to handle apparently). So Matt and Sada (our friends, Matt teaches at Cal Poly) who help out with the lambs took this one home for the weekend. They wanted to go out to dinner tonight so we watched Penny.

She liked to prance all around the house and then she suddenly plopped herself down in front of Greg and curled up at his feet!

How could you not want to snuggle with this cute little lamb?

Too cute!

Now for the serious question: Did the lamb go to the bathroom in your house and make a mess?

She didn't actually! And, well, she was wearing a diaper so that helped. ;)

How precious, you'll have to let us know if this happens again! I was in FFA and raised sheep. My first was a ram named, Jack. He was a twin to Jill and their mom died while giving birth. So my grandparents bottle fed them, they were like dogs. Very friendly and social. When I sold Jack at auction I was sick over it, so my Dad went and bought him back from the Farmer. He was such a great pet:) Cute post!!!

That sweater that Greg is wearing looks suspiciously like a WOOL sweater. Run Penny, RUN!

Wow, where can I get one of those?
